Services.
I have helped many different kinds of businesses
of small to medium-large sizes. Different fields
I have worked in are manufacturing, food processing,
utility, religious administration, professional,
etc. In my earlier programming days, many situations
were accounting related mainly in the areas
of accounts receivable and payable, payroll,
inventory, and general ledger. In the past 10
years I have also worked in many specialized
areas of materials management, food processing,
and a number of specialized manufacturing systems.
There was even a project that involved modifying
a program used in medical research at a nearby
regional hospital.
Skills.
- Microsoft Access using VBA
- SQL Server
- .NET
Commercial Software.
More information on my commercially available
programs can be found at www.waterdropsoftware.com
Route System.
Beginning in late 2003, I developed a water
and salt route system in conjunction with Bailey's
WaterCare, LLC of Tecumseh, MI. They were
using a very complex commercial application
that was just overkill for their needs. It was
designed to meet the needs of a medium sized
company in the water/salt/softener business.
It is an accounts receivable and route scheduling
package. It has been running full time since
2004.
AccQ-Trak Vending Software.
In mid 2010, I was contacted by Eric Hammond
and Craig Hammond of Michigan
Mini Vend about replacing a very old MS-DOS
based application that had been custom developed
for them a long time ago. We started the project
with the ultimate goal of not only solving their
problems, but also to develop something that
could help others in the vending business. As
of November 2010, they are in live daily use
and final tweaks are being done. It will be
available for sale soon.
Event Scheduler.
Pretty much my first big project using Access.
This was developed for the Michigan District
of the Assemblies of God church to assist in
scheduling an annual Fine Arts Festival. Their
existing system consisted of hand scheduling
several hundred events occurring over a two
day period. This program allows entry of contestant
and event information and then produces a performance
schedule.
